If the Bucks are ever going to get a star, he'll probably have to be a problem. BRING ME DEMARCUS COUSINS.

Last week, DeMarcus Cousins brought the ruckus. Again. He was suspended by the Sacramento Kings after reportedly getting into a heated exchange with Kings head coach Keith Smart in the locker room during half time of Sacramento’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. It was the third time this season the ill-tempered Cousins was suspended.

Trade rumors began almost immediately. Would the Kings look to deal him? What would they want in return? Could the franchise really afford to give up a player who averaged a double-double only a season ago?

As a Milwaukee Bucks blogger, it’s almost too easy to go where I’m about to go, but I’ll do it anyway.

Good article. I would be more than happy to see that! Looking at the Kings roster, they would need a Center in return and would probably appreciate a big SF. Would they go for Sanders and Harris? Seems like we would be giving up a lot of potential. If they would bite on Ellis then by all means deal him, but they have 100 guards (Evans, Thomas, Fredette, Brooks, Salmons, and Thornton). I guess I don't know what Cousins would be worth, but it'd be darn nice to have a quality PG (Jennings) and Center (Cousins) to add all our role players too.

Here's a crazy thing I put together late last week that works from a money stand point: http://espn.go.com/n...tradeId=czorvwj

It's so tough to figure out what direction the Kings are heading in though, so tough to figure out what they would want back.

I like the idea of keeping Jennings and Ellis and Sanders if that's possible. But Sanders would probably have to go, at least.

I like it but I cant see Sac going for it. Hard to tell though. I think we should focus on moving ellis and getting a young wing with size such as wes matthews, nick young, jordan crawford, or marshon brooks. Thoughts?

Nick  Young is terrifying.

I think all of those guys are fine players, but don't come with all that much upside. Aside from Young, they're guys who will get better, but I'm struggling to envision any of them ever in an All-Star game. If the strategy employed would be tanking, then I'm all for the Bucks bringing any of those guys on.

Wow! That trade would be awesome. Seems like it would make sense for the C's, who are looking for big men (though shipping Lee is a stretch). Would make sense for the Bucks, not getting rid of any young potential or cornerstone stars and still getting Cousins + Lee. And the Kings would stack up on depth, getting another C and 2 SF types that they need. Anybody have Hammond's number?

If something blockbuster like this doesn't happy, I agree with Sean. Get value for Ellis while you can, unless you believe this team is going somewhere in the post season. We'd have to do better than a Wes Matthews or a Nick Young type, though. I've heard thoughts of a Jennings-for-Bledsoe straight up deal, but I'm not down with that, either.

I don't see why Sacramento should be that desperate to get rid of him. They knew what they were getting themselves into when they drafted him, so they have to be patient with him. Even if they try to trade him, they will demand a lot because of his star potential.

Probably a fair point. I suppose my larger point is that in general, the Bucks are in a position where they'll have to take "damaged goods" to get a star. Aside from Cousins and maybe Gasol, not sure who else fits that.

I may be insane for even suggesting this, but any way the Kings would consider trading both Cousins + Evans? I think it's quite possible the Maloof's would deal both of them if they were gutting the team for a move to Virginia/Anaheim, similar to what Clay Bennett did to the Sonics prior to their move to OKC.

If I remember correctly, Sacramento had some interest in doing an Evans for Ellis deal with Golden State right before the Bucks' dealt for Monta last spring.

Would a Ellis/Udoh/other player(s) + picks + financial compensation for Cousins/Evans/other salaries even scratch the surface as a possibility?

It's a tough decision but in the end I think I would roll the dice with a guy like Cousins. We're likely not getting any guys with star potential outside of the draft (and even then we never are in a decent enough draft position to get a star). Definitely not getting anyone via free agency. This may be one of those few opportunities to get a big time talent for pennies on the dollar. Maybe a change of scenery would do him well?

With the way Sanders has been playing though I'd hate to see him go.

I'm a yes to Cousins, but a giant no to moving Sanders. My heart couldn't handle losing him   :(

Sander's has had his best year. But can he still get better? Probably not. For Cousin's? I take that risk. Cousin's sells tix and jerseys. And is more of a dominate player. It is worth it in every way. Larry is a good guy and would be missed.

Man, giving up Evans and Cousins would be crazy. The Kings are in such a weird place that it's difficult to tell what's possible and what isn't with them. I think even some sort of Ellis and Evans deal alone would be kind of interesting.

If Larry keeps playing like this all year, he'll start selling tix and jerseys
