I know too many people who are "Lakers fans" and I also absolutely hate the new "Superfriends" trend the NBA is going through right now so to see them suffer makes me happy. Since the Bucks are currently on a 4 game losing streak and things may get even worse in the next week or two I think it's important to stick together as fans and ostracize a team that always gets all the dap yet is currently worse off than the Bucks. The Lakers issues are surprising, and yet not surprising in a way. They brought in big name players (Nash, Dwight), but Nash got hurt early in the season and Dwight hasn't been the same since his back surgery, which is obvious when you see how the Lakers have been doing on the defensive side of the floor in particular.
Then you have Pau, is seems both hurt and unmotivated to a certain degree.
However, the biggest issue may just be their depth, or lack thereof. They signed Meeks, which I liked, but Jamison is over the hill and while he can score, is such a horrid defensive player that it hardly matters. They don't have a bench to fall back on, which kind of kills them.
Through all of this, though, Kobe is still celebrating arguably his best season since 2006. Odd lol.
If the Lakers are going to come back though, I think they need to move Pau to the bench and possibly start Hill at PF. Or, considering D'Antoni is coach, start Metta World Peace at PF, Kobe at SF, Meeks at SG and Nash at PG, going small ball while still having a player that, although not as tall as a normal power forward in Artest, would be powerful enough to handle a good portion of them.
