As the topic implies, I'll be posting updates to Doron Lamb's D-League experience, where hopefully the playing time will aid him in having a more successful career in the NBA.

His first game wasn't a great success, scoring 12 points off the bench on 4-14 shooting. What's more puzzling/startling is that his three point shot still isn't there, arguably one of his greatest strengths in the college game, going 0-3 last night.

It may not be an NBA team, but these guys in the D-League are still mighty good. Just making the adjustment to new town, new team, new coach....Lamb might make significant improvement once he catches his breath. Now HE has to realize he's an asset and make the best of this situation.

Good to hear he got enough play time to attempt 14 shots. Obviously, the Bucks think he has the talent to come back to
the team or they would have simply cut him loose.

Thanks for the information and I'll be looking forward to your updates.

Go Lamb! Go Ants?

For sure! I'm very interested in what Lamb has to offer. I felt like we got a big steal when he fell to the second round, and I really do think that he could be a solid player in the future. He's impressed me with his defense at times, and he can definitely score, though his shooting stroke hasn't been there this season thus far.

He has another game tonight at ten.

in the games he did play he seemed lost on offense, he never hit any shots and he always did the same baseline floater. not saying he wont be good just saying what i saw out of him so far

Yeah, he's not fitting into the offense yet, and went 1-8 last night in 22 minutes. Perhaps it's just him needing to learn the plays and pick his spots on offense, but even with the Bucks he had trouble offensively. He's definitely not living up to his potential thus far. I hope it doesn't have anything to do with not wanting to be in Milwaukee in the first place.

Anyone else think Jodie Meeks when they see Lamb?

i doubt thats the problem he isnt ever going to be an all star, he got drafted in 2nd round, and hes a rookie, odds are that he is happy to be playing anywhere.

Meeks was the first guy that jumped to my mind when I thought of Lamb. And sadly, we may end up having the same issues as far as developing him into a better player.

I'm not saying he'll ever be an All Star. But seeing him when he was drafted, as well as in subsequent interviews and whatnot, he didn't have the look of a guy who's just happy to be playing on an NBA team. Hopefully I'm wrong, but that's just the impression I got.

Lamb missed training camp and preseason because of injury.  A little more practice and play time in D-League can't hurt.  Calling him back this soon shows they never intended on leaving him with the Ants for long.  With trade deadline coming, I'm sure Bucks would like to know just what they have or don't have with Lamb.

Lamb shot just 5/22 from the field in two games with Fort Wayne before missing the team's last game with a sprained ankle.  What does it all mean?????

Bucks reported Sunday that Doron Lamb is back in the D-League with the Mad Ants.  Perhaps they sent him back to team so the Buck's training staff could watch his sprained ankle.

Still encouraged that he went to the Ants instead of being cut.  Hope he finds his rhythm and his shot.
