I would really like this trade. In those 2 years that Gasol will be productive, he will for sure be better than Ersan. The team would need to quickly find a backup PG (Ridnour?), but I like it.
Gasol would draw a lot of fan interest and he would make the Bucks a top 4 team in the East this season. If the team isn't going to tank, then they might as well go after Gasol,
I agree. I've heard some mixed responses to the idea of getting Gasol, but overall I'd be okay with the trade. Gasol would be used much more effectively in Milwaukee than he has been with the Lakers, given that we have no other "great" low post threat.
Only two things worry me about Pau though: injuries, and motivation. Watching him in the Olympics this summer, he was a totally different player than the one we've seen in LA the last two years. I almost get the sense that, now that he has two championships, he doesn't care too much anymore about his NBA career.

i would love for the bucks to trade ellis, and maybe dalembert and 1st round pick to the kings for evans, and cousins. i would even settle for just trading ellis and the first round pick for evans. evans would provide size at the 2 and we would be young at every position.
pg: jennings
sg: evans
sf: harris
pf: udoh/hensen
C: sanders/Cousins(if we pulled off the originally purposed trade)

Getting Cousins alone would make the trade worth it, assuming whatever head coach we bring in can help make him less of a headcase. Still, his talent is unquestionable, and he would be a huge asset to the offense since we don't have a post threat.
Evans... he would be a better fit than Ellis, yes. However, apart from being bigger, he's still not a great defensive player. His around the basket game is great, but he's still not able to stretch the floor and make threes, which is something we'll absolutely need from whatever SG that plays with Jennings.
What makes me say no to this trade though, is the first round pick. Evans isn't worth a first, period.

Henson, Sanders and Beno for John Salmons, Aaron Brooks and DeMarcus Cousins
Kings/Sonics: come out as the winner of this deal for sure, they dump Salmons contract back on the Bucks, Aaron Brooks likely for another season after this one due to his player option which frees up more playing time for Jimmer Fredette. They get 2 young PF/C's who are both very talented and probably could come close to replacing the production from Cousins.
Bucks: get that Franchise Player that they desperately want and unload a bit at the PF position.
Alot of these trades in this topic are skewed greatly in the Bucks favor. I think this deal is more realistic, If I was GM of the Bucks i dont know if Id pull the trigger on this trade personally, but if you want Cousins I imagine that this is along the lines of the kind of deal itd take to get him.

Not trying to be mean but the Kings would laugh at that offer. Ellis, Dalembert, and a first rounder would probably be good enough for just Evans. Cousins may be troubled but he is still a very valuable young player. The Kings would probably want young talent, draft picks, and for the other team to take back some bad contracts in order for the Kings to even consider trading Cousins. For the Bucks to get him they would probably have to trade Henson, Sanders, Harris, and picks for Cousins plus taking back Salmons, Thornton, and/or Hayes. Bucks would also probably have to add Dalembert/Udrih in order to make salaries match. Even with that offer I'm not sure the Kings would trade Cousins.

Absolutely not, Cousins is good but definitely not worth Henson and Sanders, thats just ridiculous. Larry is already solid, but I don't think you realize how good Henson could be.
Attitude is more important to the success of players and teams than people realize. Sanders and Henson have great attitudes and work ethic, Cousins is a thug and I don't see him contributing to a championship caliber team. Sanders and Henson are only going to improve and barring catastrophic injury they are bound to be a force in the frontcourt and the future of this team. They are probably the only two players on the roster that are off-limits for all realistic trade scenarios.

yeaa i agree, i think it would be dumb to go after cousins for anyone really. tyreke evans would be a really good fit for our team though

New to this forum, but I have been podering this trade for a while and it actually works with the trade machine.
http://espn.go.com/n...tradeId=cso8ho2
It might take more parts than just a 2-for-1, but I think it could work. Rids the Bucks of a guy who is going to walk, but gives them a scorer they could use right now. The Bucks get back a tall, young, combo guard who I think will only get better. Throw in Andrei to match up contracts and keep Alexey paired with his mentor. Andrei is a shot blocking forward who can also stretch the floor. maybe they wouldn't go for it, but I wanted to get someone else's thoughts on this trade?

its not mean i knew it was a bit of a stretch to try to get evans and cousins. but i definitely want evans. there is one thing i will not budge on and that is getting rid of our young guys that have potential i.e. henson, sanders, and harris.
and i think you might be over valuing cousins a little too much. he's not DH12.

Serious question..how often do the people that are wanting Tyreke Evans watch him play? I think if you actually saw him play you would not be quite so enamored with him
Ive seen him play a few times and watched a few of his highlights. Im still impressed. doesn't make as many dumb turn over as ellis and can finish stronger than probably any other player on this team. he would look great in a bucks uni

Its not enough to watch a player a few times and really know what he is worth. A good player needs to be focused and motivated consistently and be able to play well consistently, not just have a few highlights that showcase his talent. Tyreke Evans isn't that great game in and game out.

Hammond would have to be borderline drunk to even remotely consider this trade. For one, despite Cousins potential, there's nothing to indicate that he's a franchise player. Second, he's a headcase, with no guarantee to show up ready to play every night, and if anyone puts him in a foul mood... we've already seen what he does.
Henson has been outstanding for most of this season when given the playing time, apart from that short stretch after we played the Bulls in Chicago (not the last game, the one when we came back from a 20+ deficit to win). And I don't think anything needs to be said about Sanders and his level of play.
My point being, both of them are young guys who've played great basketball this year, and whom we know will come and give it their all every single night, something we have no guarantee for from a guy like Cousins. Lord knows how he would react to being traded to Milwaukee in the first place.

Evans had a good rookie season and has dropped off considerably ever since. I'm just not sure that he's what we need right now, and I truly believe that if we're seriously about inquiring for him, we could do it for less than that.
