Jeremy,

To quote you from a past podcast, "Everyone likes a trade!" Could you give us some examples of what you'd like to see happen or at the very least, as a possibility for the Bucks via trade? What would you ideally love to see?

Let's hear it! We can all share our frivolous ESPN Trade Machine dreams.

-Matthew

The Gordon one is pretty crazy as well. He doesn't want to play in New Orleans, so he probably won't want to play in Milwaukee. Plus they could get a lot more value for Gordon should they choose to trade him than Ellis and Udoh.

As for the Cousins trade, they could probably get more value than Jennings and Dally. Though that's still a much more even trade than the first one.

@Benj1... this trade has a lot of variables. For one, I don't think LA does this trade unless they get Love, who is one of their biggest targets apart from maybe J-Smooth.

Obviously the Bucks come out of it pretty well with Love, and Barea is a solid backup. Plus that clears the power forward position out a bit. Though we'd need another SF at some point, with just Dunleavy and Tobias there.

I know Minnesota is very interested in Gasol, though I wonder if that interest has waned since his most recent injury and his rather unremarkable season.

gasol is old and gets injured with any contact, but he has proven that when he is the center that the offense is run through that he is very deadly, just look at his numbers the few games he played without dwight and obviously the championship they won running everything through him

I think if you toss in a 1st rounder (from the bucks) and maybe illysova or Luc in the tyreke, D-cousins trade that becomes  a more realistic trade

To be clear on who would get what

Bucks: D-Cuz, Tryeke

Kings: Monta, Dally, 1st rounder (Illysova, or Luc)

Agreed. LA has been using him badly the last two seasons, first with Bynum and now with Dwight. When he's forced to play power forward, more often than not he's forced out to the perimeter and has to take mid-ranged jumpers to accommodate Bynum/Dwight in the post, which eliminates Pau greatest strength: his post game and his ability to create from the post.

Just that alone might make Minnesota still interested in him, but the injuries have to be a concern, especially for an older player.

I personally dont think it's a good idea to trade Ersan right now he is exceeding his contract value with his play as of late. Since the coaching change he's averaging 15 PPG 7 RPG and shooting 48% from 3 point range. On the season his PER has increased to 17.4 and is still going up. I would say that those numbers are well worth 8 million dollars a year. The thing that worries me about Ersan a bit and it isn't talked about often is that he could be older than his age is currently listed. He's turning 26 in a few months but he could be a bit older than that and the way that he sacrifices his body banging in the paint for rebounds and getting pummeled on charges and charge attempts that could be an issue in a few years if he's older than he claims.

Interesting, was he born an orphan or in poverty? Otherwise keeping track of a birthdate should be pretty simple unless he deliberately stated he was younger.....but I'm not seeing how that would help him as he has been a Known prospect in Europe since he was a teen. He looks 26ish

I've read it in a few places over the years nothing concrete just your standard rumors of international players possibly lying about their age. I doubt he is older than 26 but if he is im sure he's 28 at the oldest.

Just some rumblings here, nothing to worry about but still on the off chance that he is older than he says it could be an issue way down the road, right now I think he needs to stay in town though, he's playing well.

Wow...I have never heard that story about Ersan.  I've heard there is question about his age, but didn't realize there is more to it than just an off the cuff remark.   Fascinating read, especially the very last article at the bottom.

Well in his draft profile, it does say he looked closer to 18 than 21, so that's a positive I guess. That would suck if it turned out he was three years older. I think teams are taking for granted that he's the age he says he is.

Just trade Ellis for Iguodala. Sure Bucks would do little better with him on the team

But why would Denver want that trade? Iguodala is bigger, much better defensively and a much better fit next to Lawson, and is a better finisher around the rim. They wouldn't have risked making the Lakers better with the Dwight trade if they didn't feel Iggy was going to make them better.
